Cinema North West are very pleased to announce the return of LIGHTBOX.

As part of the first LIGHTBOX festival in 2010, a round table discussion attended by filmmakers and students agreed that there was a need for an Irish Animation Festival. The group congratulated Cinema North West and The Model and "... called on them to make LIGHTBOX into an annual animation festival".  

So we are back! 

LIGHTBOX intends to reflect the strong position Irish animation holds both in the Irish film industry and the international animation scene. LIGHTBOX will be a space for animators, visual artists and live action filmmakers to come together with audiences and film fans to celebrate the wide diversity of animation.

A full programme of events will be posted in the next few days.
